About the Society
Overview and history
From a consultant-led initiative to a national scientific home
The Society works across three pathways: continuing medical education, local clinical guidelines and community awareness in partnership with government bodies.
The Society began as an initiative by consultant neurologists who recognised the need for a specialised Saudi scientific reference in epilepsy. Today the Society has more than 1240 members, including consultants, specialists, residents and medical students, and works through standing scientific committees and regional chapters.
The Society’s work follows three pathways: continuing medical education, publication of local clinical guidelines and community awareness in partnership with government bodies.

Who we serve
Doctors, healthcare practitioners and researchers in neurology, paediatrics and nursing; people living with epilepsy and their families; and teachers and employers who need accurate knowledge about the condition.
